Studies show that men lose 10 points in their IQ if they think they are communicating with an attractive woman even online. The reason for this is unknown.
I have a theory. Rather than serving as a dumbing down mechanism, it is a mechanism for relaxed association. Genes that enabled ancestral men to shake free-er from the shackles of left-brain sequential logic when communicating with women spread better, because free association allows for spontenity, humor, innovation and good ol' randomness, all traits favoured by right-brain tribe of womenfolk.
